What to do with Fort Mac’s yellow mountains?

Huge stockpiles of sulfur, a pungent, yellow byproduct of upgrading bitumen, are growing at oil sands mines around of Fort McMurray. At the Port of Vancouver, the commodity could fetch $105 per tonne, but returns are nevertheless hardly enticing when compared with the economics of selling upgraded light-sweet crude.
