EDMONTON – Albertans spent more than $2.1 billion on alcohol last year, more than $100 million above the previous year’s sales.
“As our population base grows, we have more Albertans, and more people 18-year-olds and over, consuming alcohol,” AGLC spokeswoman Jody Korchinski said Wednesday. “A majority of our increase in consumption is related to population growth.”
