American Airlines announced on Thursday that it hopes to add nonstop service to Beijing from its hub at Dallas/Fort Worth. The carrier – now the nation’s largest following its merger with US Airways – says it has filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation for the rights to fly the route.
