Chinese fabricator setting up shop in Fort Saskatchewan

EDMONTON – One of China’s top fabrication firms is setting up operations in Fort Saskatchewan, with plans to open a module-building facility on an 18-acre site across the highway from Dow Chemical.

Yanda Canada bought the land last fall and intends to install utilities and portable structures this summer. There are plans for a 40,000 square foot building within a couple of years. The firm expects to employ up to 150 staff in the office, shop and yard.
