A second-year cosmetology program at Peace River High School is beginning to gain traction among students.
The program, which is taught by Katrina Burns, owner of Split Enz in Peace River, has 22 students taking part, up from a dozen last year.
“This year we focus just on introductory level manicures, pedicures, a bit of hairstyling, facials and makeup,” Burns told the Record-Gazette, noting it’s her first year teaching the program.
