The County of Grande Prairie is giving developers a heads-up on increased transportation levies, now in effect.

In June, county councillors approved the increase in offsite levy rates for new and expanded roads.

Zone one, which is the Clairmont Centred Area, will now cost $6,300 per acre, which is an increase from $5,000 per acre. Zone two, which is the City of Grande Prairie Centred Area, will now cost $6,000 per acre, an increase from $5,000 per acre. Zone three, the Grande Prairie Rural Area, will now cost $1,675 per acre, an increase from $1,522 per acre.
