The mayor of Leduc County is making it clear to Edmonton he’s not going to roll over in the battle for 15,600 hectares of land south of Edmonton.

After Edmonton city council voted to move ahead with plans to annex the area, which includes the Edmonton International Airport, for industrial and residential use, Leduc’s Mayor John Whaley released an official statement Wednesday opposing the idea.
