The value of construction approved by the City of Red Deer last month was nearly the same as in September 2011 — inching up to $16.8 million from $16.5 million.
Building permits issued for residential work totalled $8.3 million, up from $4.7 million last September. Commercial projects generated $6.6 million worth of approvals, as compared with $6.7 million a year ago.
