Canada’s population drops in Q4 — Alberta leads, Airdrie grows (Canada)

 

Canada’s population declined by 103,504 people, or 0.2 per cent, in the fourth quarter of 2025, even as Alberta recorded the fastest growth rate of any province or territory, according to preliminary estimates released by Statistics Canada.
