Alberta oilsands emissions intensity down 28% since 2012 as production rises (Alberta)

A new report shows that greenhouse gas emissions from Alberta’s oilsands have dropped by about 28 per cent per barrel, while production has risen to more than 3.3 million barrels per day, according to 2024 data.
