Bank of Canada would cut rates if not for Iran war, says Benjamin Tal (Canada)

Benjamin Tal, managing director and deputy chief economist at CIBC Capital Markets Inc., talks with Financial Post’s Larysa Harapyn about how the Bank of Canada would cut rates if not for the war in the Middle East. “The Bank of Canada is very comfortable not touching interest rates anytime soon. The only thing that will change that view is a major escalation with the situation in Iran,” he said.
