Modest housing start boost needed to restore future affordability (Calgary)

If Calgarians want to purchase homes in the future like it’s 2019, its new homes market is likely to play a key role. A new report from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. examined current activity in major housing markets across Canada, forecasting how many more starts are required annually to boost supply enough by 2036 to restore buyer affordability to pre-pandemic levels.
