Council to debate storage facility for fleet of 400 natural gas buses

A day after Calgary Transit showed off its first two natural gas buses, a council committee will debate a storage facility for about 398 more.

The city needs a massive new bus storage facility to handle transit expansions. With prices for natural gas stubbornly low, Calgary Transit is betting that this source of long-term grief for the city’s energy sector can translate into long-term fuel cost savings.
