Council wary of subdivision proposals

Two subdivision plans were put forward to Fort Saskatchewan council at the Dec. 11 meeting, and although both saw passing of the first reading, both had issues brought to light.

Proposals were presented to city councillors in regards to the Forest Ridge and Sienna neighbourhoods, located in Westpark and South Park, respectively.

Comprised largely of townhomes measuring 20 feet wide and 36 feet high, the Forest Ridge project — presented first to council — was frowned upon by Mayor Gale Katchur.

“This is just such a change from where this was looking at,” she said. “There are just so many issues.”
