With the oil, gas, forestry and agricultural sectors growing, Peace River MP Chris Warkentin says our region is heading into 2013 in a position of strength.

“It seems to me that things are going well. We can’t sit back and believe that there aren’t challenges. We know that there are a lot of challenges beyond our borders that we can’t control. But, I do believe that Canada is well positioned and our community is well positioned moving forward,” Warkentin said.

The growth of our region can be attributed to the successes of industry. Warkentin said the federal government is keeping an eye on the communities that support industries and will work towards supporting the growth of those communities.
