At the centre of Wyoming’s energy boom, it has a magnetic attraction to Americans looking for work, with an unemployment rate of just 4%-5%. But the bubble bursts when they get there and discover the demand for housing has priced shelter out of reach, and they end up bunking in hotels, surfing on couches or even camping out in tents.
