Average residential property assessment increases 10.59 per cent

Cochrane’s yearly property assessment notices are on the way, and latest figures from the Town show that the average single-family property in Cochrane will see an increase from $615,500 to $680,700 for 2025.

Higher assessments mean higher taxes for Airdronians in 2025

Council approves notice of motion aiming to find safer spot for RV-dwellers

The city will be moving forward on a councillor’s proposal to try and find a more suitable site for those who resort to living in their recreational vehicles, though some of his colleagues questioned the city’s role in the process.

Bank of Canada cuts rate to 3% amid trade uncertainty with the United States

The Bank of Canada cut its interest rate by 25 basis points to three per cent on Wednesday, while warning that the economic consequences of a prolonged trade war with the United States could be severe, hindering growth while potentially reigniting inflation.
