After strong summer, Tampa home sales slow

A drop in the number of listings may be behind a sales slowdown in Tampa, Florida. Closed sales fell 1.7 percent in November compared to November 2014, as inventory declined more than 7 percent, according to the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors.

November total permit values down, year-to-date still strong

Red Deer’s number of building permits in November were about the same as in 2014, but the value was down significantly. A strong public sector, however, continues to keep total permit values so far this year ahead of the same period last year.

Alberta man fined $1 million for fraud through bankrupt mortgage firms

An Edmonton-area man who raised $10.8 million from about 125 investors with a promise of 18 per cent annual returns has been fined $1 million and permanently banned from trading securities or acting as an officer of an issuing company.
