Australia’s housing market has seen a shift in buyer activity this year, with both affordable hotspots and high-end suburbs posting strong price growth as interest rate cuts improve borrowing power, according to the latest PropTrack data.

Calgary is seeing the second-largest rent price drop in Canada, only after Toronto

We’ve had a pretty nice summer so far, and this month brings even more good news for Calgary renters. According to Zumper’s July Canadian Rent Report, rent prices are dropping in Calgary.

Redevelopment of Woodcroft townhouse complex to create three times as many homes

Ground was broken Wednesday for a project that will see 200 aging townhomes replaced by 700 new homes, about a third of which will be affordable housing.

Giant shovels, driverless trucks and a dog-like robot have all helped Canada’s oil sands companies including Imperial Oil and Suncor become some of North America’s lowest-cost oil producers, driving down overheads even as the worst inflation in a generation pushed U.S. shale costs up.
