For the first time in a decade, the City of Grande Prairie is experiencing a surge in housing construction with $55.1 million in residential building permits recorded by from the beginning of the year until the end of June.

Cochrane secures final undeveloped riverfront parcel for $5M

The Town of Cochrane has completed the purchase of a 26-acre parcel from Rocky View County (RVC), securing the last remaining undeveloped piece of riverfront property within town boundaries.

Rocky View Schools shares update on new Rivercrest project

Construction of a new Kindergarten to Grade 8 school in Cochrane’s Rivercrest community is expected to begin in spring 2026, with completion slated for fall 2028. The project will add much-needed student spaces to the growing town and help alleviate enrolment pressures in nearby Rocky View Schools (RVS).
