Housing starts continue record-setting pace for Calgary 

Calgary continues to see strong new homes activity with housing starts seeing ongoing year-over-year growth, new statistics from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. revealed. August data from CMHC show that starts in Calgary increased more than 21 per cent from the same month last year. Year to date, ending Aug. 31, the city has seen 18,632 starts compared with 15,324 over the same period last year.

Calgary homebuyers to see more enticing conditions this fall 

The second busiest time of the year for resale real estate could be among the best opportunities for buyers in Calgary, a new forecast suggests. Re/Max recently released its 2025 Fall Housing Market Update revealing that Calgary’s resale market will show more balance between supply and demand. What’s more, the report notes that the Calgary market is likely to lean toward favouring buyers.
