With federal funding, city says it will exceed its goal of 42,000 new housing units by next year

A partnership with the federal government will see new homes for 100,000 Calgarians, as the City of Calgary announced Wednesday it has surpassed housing benchmarks set through the federal Housing Accelerator Fund.

Home sales fall, inventory surges, prices decline slightly in Calgary

Calgary’s resale market dipped more deeply into balanced market conditions last month. Resales fell 16 per cent year over year in June, Calgary Real Estate Board figures reveal. At the same time, inventory surged 83 per cent compared with the same month last year.

Calgary is seeing the second-largest rent price drop in Canada, only after Toronto

We’ve had a pretty nice summer so far, and this month brings even more good news for Calgary renters. According to Zumper’s July Canadian Rent Report, rent prices are dropping in Calgary.
