Park Foundation still waiting for response from province on Glenbow East Dam option

July house sales in Cochrane contributed to the year-to-date gain of nearly eight per cent, according to the latest report of the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB).

Bow Valley High expansion underway

The expansion of Bow Valley High School is underway and upon completion in the late fall of 2026 is expected to provide an additional 200 student spaces.

Building permits already 17% higher than all of 2023

Cochrane’s assessment growth in 2025 is anticipated to be higher than the six-year average but similar to forecasts used for the 2024 budget.

Entire surplus sent to tax stabilization reserve

The town’s adjusted 2023 net surplus of $754,142.48 will be transferred into the town’s sagging tax stabilization reserve.
