Council approves new fees with higher transit and internment fees, cheaper building fees

New municipal fees will soon make it cheaper to build in Fort McMurray but more expensive to get around and die in the region. Most fees will remain untouched, but the few changes approved by council on Tuesday will begin April 1.

Council approves sale of former A&W site, adjacent lot to build medical clinic

A developer will begin building a medical clinic in downtown Fort McMurray, albeit at a significant discount compared to what the municipality paid for the site. Council approved the offer unanimously. Councillors Kendrick Cardinal and Loretta Waquan did not attend the meeting.
