Public hearings underway regarding northeast power line

Hearings into city power line upgrades in the northeast began Monday with a group of Parkview residents reiterating their stance that a preferred option for taller lines along residential streets in Crescent Heights should be approved.

Natural gas rate falls for June, while power remains at 7-cent minimum

Water allotment for SMRID members will remain at 12 inches through summer

The allocation for St. Mary’s River Irrigation District members is expected to remain at 12 inches for the summer, the board of the major district southwest of Medicine Hat announced Thursday.

280MW wind farm near Bow Island now operational

Medicine Hat Mall’s Bay space will be renovated following no auction bid

Creditors protection process extended for Royal Helium

A court-creditors protection process for Royal Helium has been extended until late June as officials work on a plan of arrangement for the exploration company that has a production facility north of Brooks.

Off-stream reservoir near Calgary will have some benefit for Medicine Hat

With the completion of the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir, Calgary and downstream communities on the Elbow River should see reduced flooding, including minor benefits for Medicine Hat.
