Councillors on Monday approved $3.9 million to fund preliminary designs of a new outdoor aquatics centre which would include a large-scale outdoor pool with waterslide and be constructed behind Hillcrest Church on the south side.

October natural gas prices climb; amendment passed for medium commercial rates

Modernized parks bylaw passed by council

Driven by the growing popularity of the city’s extensive parks and trails system and the need to modernize the wording of a nearly four-decade old bylaw to include technologies including drones and e-scooters, city councillors approved an updated parks bylaw city staffers have worked on since 2022.
