City Councillors have approved the sale of a 2.73-acre parcel of bare lane located at 21 Ranchlands Blvd. NE that will potentially be developed into two, four-story buildings that would each accommodate 24 residential units for a total of 48 new units, as well as parking.

Next month’s municipal election will have the longest ballot in city history. This year’s election has now surpassed the 20-year record for council candidates. At end of day Thursday 37 candidates had filed to run for city council, breaking the previous record of 36, set in 2001.
