The ongoing economic downturn in Alberta affected the number of building permits that were issued in Airdrie during 2019, but not by as much as you might think says the Team Leader for Building Inspections in the city.

2019 year saw continued growth in the regions

Analysis of all residential real estate sales throughout 2019 has shown that almost every region across New Zealand saw an increase in median sale price, with the exception of Auckland which maintained a median price of $850,000 and West Coast which decreased -1.3% to a median price of $197,500 (from $200,000 in 2018).

Hong Kong and Singaporean investors fill void left by China

Mainland China’s investment in commercial real estate in Australia fell off a cliff after peaking in 2015 but other Asian investors have been quick to fill the void as the flow of capital from Hong Kong and Singapore soars to record levels.

Non-bank mortgages on the rise in Canada

The value of residential mortgage loans extended by non-bank lenders grew by 25.4 per cent to $41.1 billion in the second quarter of 2019, according to a report released Tuesday by Statistics Canada.
