Administration is reviewing plans for the Northside Recreation Centre after the planned twin hockey rinks were put on ice after the 2016 Horse River Wildfire. A report on the project will be brought to council in the near future.

The fate of a plan to build twin ice rinks in Abraham’s Landing could be decided soon after a seven year hiatus when council deferred the project in 2016. Councillor Ken Ball plans to ask council at the Feb. 28 meeting to ask administration to study if the Northside Recreation Centre, which includes two ice rinks, should be built.
