Sylvan Lake brewery expands to introduce town’s first distillery

Sylvan Lake’s Snake Lake Brewing Company is expanding operations to include a distillery under its wing and offer locally crafted options for individuals to choose from. Named after the year Snake Lake was renamed Sylvan Lake, the 1903 Craft Spirits distillery will run as a separate business from the brewery.

MLA Dreeshen looks forward to community consultations for Hwy. 11 Twinning Project

Federal Census represents 9.9 percent decrease in Eckville population

The 2021 Federal Census showed a decrease in Eckville’s population by 9.9 percent from 1,125 in 2016 to 1,014 in 2021. This compares to the provincial average of 4.8 percent and the national average of 5.2 percent, shared Statistics Canada.

Sylvan Lake sees eight percent growth rate in federal census

Festival Street Grant approved for the Town of Sylvan Lake

The Town of Sylvan Lake is extending Festival Street onto 50A Ave. and developing an outdoor event space for the area, made possible in part with support from a federal grant.

Jan. 24 council meeting highlights

Council was provided with the fourth-quarter reports from Public Works outlining updates on 18 different projects. Some of these projects include the North Municipal Water Reservoir and Pump House (CP1515-02) project that has been completed, and the reservoir is commissioned and is operating as required.
