Height relaxation approved for mixed-use building coming to Lakeshore Drive in Sylvan Lake

Sylvan Lake’s town council has unanimously approved a development permit for a mixed-use building to be located at 4515 Lakeshore Drive, which was seeking relaxations on a variety of the development requirements.

Apartment Incentive Grant Program approved in Sylvan Lake

Sylvan Lake town council has voted to accept an Apartment Incentive Grant Program intended to incentivize developers to move forward with multi-unit projects by offering a rebate equal to the cost of the building permit fees.

ATCO, AltaLink building 130-kilometre transmission line in central Alberta

A 130-kilometre transmission line is set to be built in central Alberta in a joint project between Calgary-based ATCO and AltaLink — infrastructure that will allow the province to accommodate more renewable energy.
