Rebuilding of dyke closer

The rebuilding of the dyke along the Ghost River in Benchlands is getting closer.

TransAlta has received approval from Alberta and federal government officials to proceed with the rebuild and are currently putting in place agreements with landowners in the small hamlet.

The Municipal Planning Commission will recommend that City Council approve the next phase home development in the Hamptons Community as well as imposing Direct Control Zone over a proposed RV storage lot near Kingsway Ave. and Spencer Street.
