A group of local business owners will ask the provincial government to quash the City of Medicine Hat’s 2013 tax assessment, based on a Mass Appraisal method, calling the figures “wildly inaccurate.”

Members of the Medicine Hat Coalition of Commercial Property Owners met Monday with the Corporate Services Committee and made a similar request to throw out the calculations that could see in an overall increase of 10 per cent, including hikes of up to 300 per cent for about 100 properties.
