Mobile City Estates requests amendment to Spruce Grove land use bylaw

Spruce Grove council gave first reading to bylaw C-587-13, a land use bylaw text amendment during a regular council meeting on Feb. 24. The amendments would currently only affect Mobile City Estates. A public hearing on the topic will be held on March 24, 2014.

Council puts off bylaw decision

A public hearing on a proposed bylaw that would allow a city development officer discretion in classifying land uses that don’t fit with already existing definitions and sets out requirements to allow accessory buildings in residential side yards has been adjourned until March 17.

What was a source of food for one Okotoks family has landed them afoul of Okotoks’ pet bylaws.

Okotoks resident Jennifer Bailey has been ordered to get rid of four hens she has had in her backyard since July.
