The Growing the North Conference concluded and organizer Walter Paszkowski is calling it one of the biggest and best northern economic development conferences in history.
The two-day conference kicked off with the Taste of the Peace last Tuesday and ended with seminars Thursday afternoon.

In less than one month, the Grande Prairie-area will host to one of the biggest economic development conferences in Alberta, and arguably one of the biggest in all of Canada.
“It will be the greatest accumulation of VIPs and people that are leaders of our country ever coming together at one event,” said Walter Paszkowski, economic development officer for the County of Grande Prairie.
“To me, it’s kind of a crown jewel.”
