Alberta’s oilsands still a powerful labour driver

Brion Energy reaches oilsands deal with Fort McKay First Nation

CALGARY — A deal announced Friday by Brion Energy Corp. with a northern native community is expected to kick-start a stalled 250,000-barrel-a-day oilsands project and permit the flow of $1.3 billion to its Calgary-based parent company.
