Promotional video launched to broaden perceptions of Calgary

CALGARY — A new promotional video highlighting a broader perception of Calgary was launched Tuesday night by four city agencies.

Calgary Economic Development, Tourism Calgary, the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre and the Calgary Hotel Association were involved in the launch of Right Here, which is part of the Be Part of the Energy campaign to attract tourists, people and business to the city.

Revise film studio plan, culture minister suggests

Culture Minister Heather Klimchuk says she still supports plans for a film studio in Calgary, but suggested Friday the current $32-million proposal needs to be sent back to the drawing board

The proposed Alberta Creative Hub has been in limbo for years, waiting for a final commitment that the provincial government will provide $13.2 million over three years.
