Drilling forecast chopped for 2016 under ‘lower for longer’ price scenario

Canada’s oilpatch is “not out of the woods yet,” says the Petroleum Services Association of Canada, which lowered its 2016 drilling forecast Wednesday to 4,900 wells, down 250 from its original early November prediction.

Building permit values in 2015 surpassed 2014

Public sector construction led the way in building permit values for 2015, pushing the year’s $232 million total for all sectors past 2014’s $214 million total.

Ottawa pushes back pipeline approvals, says GHGs will be considered

Councillors vote 5-2 to keep garages

A couple new items pertaining to the land-use Bylaw came before council on Monday, with the majority of the councillors voting against first reading for a change in residential lot access that would clarify the intended purpose of rear lanes and rear lot access for residential parcels.
