MPs request federal funds for highway from McMurray to Grande Prairie

Two MPs representing Fort McMurray and the Peace River region are urging the federal government to help Alberta fund a planned highway expansion connecting the two regions. The letter says the federal government has not responded to a funding request from the Alberta government.

Ptarmigan residents tell council buyouts were unfair as empty lots rezoned

No new homes or businesses will be built on Ptarmigan Court lots that were bought by the municipality. But some remaining homeowners who rejected buyouts after the April 2020 flood told council on Tuesday they were being treated unfairly by the municipality and that the buyouts offered were unfair.
