Vision for second ice surface turning tangible

The Town of Peace River has retained an architectural firm based out of Grande Prairie to evaluate the Baytex Energy Centre and come up with a plan for repairs, a second ice surface and a sporting complex.

At Monday’s regular council meeting, Council adopted the firm’s recommendation, which began as a vision by the Baytex Energy Committee comprised of an industry expert along with representatives from the region and user groups.

“We put a master plan together that looks at a recreational facility that would encompass many things that you would like to offer the community,” architect Dave Christie told Council at the meeting.
