Grant MacEwan bridge opens

An unprecedented seven months ahead of schedule, the new Grant MacEwan Bridge was opened Tuesday by Alberta Transportation, officially connecting Fort McMurray’s downtown core to the north by 10 lanes of traffic over three bridges.

City council approves additional funds for 100 Avenue bridge construction

The City of Grande Prairie will pour more money into the rehabilitation of the 100 Avenue bridge this year, as it approved extra dollars for the project on Monday.

No pedestrian bridge for 30 months during LRT construction

EDMONTON – The city will ask contractors building a new LRT crossing in the river valley to open a cycling and pedestrian bridge within two-and-a-half years of tearing down a popular downtown-area footbridge.

Trans-Canada bridge scheduled to open in two weeks

It’s a building project which has faced the insolvency of its original contractor and flooding from the highest recorded levels on South Saskatchewan River in the past century. But the replacement Trans-Canada bridge continues to make progress towards its scheduled completion in two-weeks.

Snye walking bridge questioned in municipal budget workshops
