Future use of Cambrian Crossing property up in air

Discussion surrounding Cambrian Crossing, a proposed 7,200 population development just north of Sherwood Park, is expected to return to Strathcona County council this month.

The project, located north of Highway 16 between Clover Bar Road and Highway 21, was approved by council in January 2011 and is a joint effort between Strathcona Countyand Cambrian Group.

Budget now $127.8 million for Lethbridge hospital project

YYC expansion on-time and on-budget

Most of the news of late has centred on the Airport Trail tunnel. While the rest of the $2 Billion dollar runway and terminal expansion at YYC has quietly moved along, on-time and on-budget. The new runway opens in May 2014, while the terminal will welcome passengers starting in October 2015. American retailer Flip Flop expands to Calgary market

CALGARY— It doesn’t appear to be a product line that would sell well in Canada’s climate.

But Flip Flop Shops, a North American chain selling the latest styles of flip flops and sandals, has seen a successful launch in this country and recently it opened its first store in Calgary at Southcentre Mall.

Council gets first look at Servus expansion

Growth over the last three years in use of different parts of Servus Credit Union Place has reached a plateau and the facility needs to consider expansion in order to make room for current and future members, its manager says.

Diane Enger, facility director for Servus Place, took city council through the conceptual plan for expansion during Monday’s council meeting, showing the areas of highest demand and how the facility could expand to meet future needs.
