County population growing

A recent survey reveals Rocky View County’s total population is on the rise.

The county, which surrounds Airdrie on all four sides, now boasts 38,055 residents, up 1,595 residents from the 2011 Statistics Canada results.

Value of building permits balloon in Calgary region

OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canada’s construction sector showed surprising strength in July, mainly because of a sudden jump in plans for commercial buildings, with housing showing just a modest rise, according to Statistics Canada data released on Monday.
