According to the latest Statistics Canada data, contractors in the Edmonton CMA took out building permits worth $850 million in March – a level that is more than double the total value of permits issued in March 2012.

CALGARY — Economic momentum has softened in Alberta alongside tempered enthusiasm in the energy sector.
