Canada’s economy grows at fastest clip in two years

OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canada’s economy picked up speed in the third quarter, with stronger-than-expected growth driven mainly by consumer spending and business inventory accumulation while there were also signs of a rebound in business investment.

Red Deer dairy plant wants to grow

Saputo Dairy Products Canada GP is seeking to expand its downtown Red Deer plant. But concerns about the resulting impact on nearby residents and future development in the area has prompted the city’s municipal planning commission to delay a decision on the project.
