CALGARY — The benchmark price of single-family homes in the city reached a new high of $452,900 in April, as market conditions that favour the seller finally drove prices above the unadjusted peak in 2007, said the Calgary Real Estate Board.

CALGARY — The New Housing Price Index in the Calgary region rose 0.5 per cent in December from the previous month, according to Statistics Canada.
The federal agency also reported on Thursday that the index was up 3.1 per cent from a year ago for the Calgary census metropolitan area.

EDMONTON – Edmonton single-family home prices in November were 4.9 per cent higher than a year earlier, according to Multiple Listing Service figures released Tuesday.
The average selling price of a single-detached home last month was $382,923, up from $364,892 in November 2011. The median price for singles was $363,000 in November, the highest since August. The association said this indicates there were more lower-priced homes sold in the month.
