Transit back on agenda Oct. 9

After an extensive public engagement and a chance to reset the discussion, public transit is back on the agenda for Cochrane town council, Oct. 9.

Mayor Truper McBride says council will be hearing the results of what has been its most extensive public engagement. The town’s communication team and market research firm Ipsos Reid will present results of their nine months of research as to what Cochrane residents want to see.

Residents report good quality of life in Red Deer

According to a 2012 Ipsos Reid Citizen Satisfaction Survey, 98% of citizens feel quality of life in Red Deer is good to very good.

The majority of citizens stated that growth and development in the city, employment and job opportunities, and good amenities and services all contributed to their quality of life.
