Atco unveils new Heartland power plant project

JOSEPHBURG — As power generation firms eye a huge potential market for new electricity, Atco Power has jumped to the head of the queue with plans for a 400 megawatt gas-fired plant for the Industrial Heartland area of Strathcona County that could be operating by 2017.

Enbridge plans new $1B pipeline to carry diluent

Enbridge Inc (ENB-T 42.46 -0.56 -1.31%) said on Tuesday it plans to build a new $1 billion pipeline to carry 200,000 barrels per day of diluent, or thinning agent, from Edmonton, Alberta, to oil sands operators near Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Enbridge plans 50-kilometre pipeline to serve Hangingstone oilsands project

CALGARY – Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB) says it has an agreement to build a 50-kilometre pipeline to serve the Hangingstone oilsands project, jointly owned by Japan Canada Oil Sands Ltd. and China’s CNOOC Ltd.
