The next Premier of Alberta: Rona Ambrose?

EDMONTON, AB, Mar. 1, 2013/ Troy Media/ – It is very clear to those close to the world of Alberta politics that Premier Alison Redford is not likely to be Premier this time next year. She is now being referred as “dead Premier walking.”

She has no friends in caucus, she is not running the government (Doug Horner is) and she is not in control of the policy agenda (which is why there is no throne speech).

Rocky ride ahead for Alberta’s PC party

CALGARY, AB, Jan. 6, 2013/ Troy Media/ – Who said Alberta politics are dull? Well, maybe not dull exactly, but boringly predictable.

After all, a single party has ruled this province for 41 years.

Albertans had become accustomed to the Progressive Conservatives running a one-party show. They held all the cards and hogged the headlines while opposition parties provided only the odd punctuation mark.
