Lafarge relocates Western Canadian headquarters to Quarry Park

CALGARY — Lafarge, a major supplier of construction materials, has relocated its Western Canadian headquarters to the redeveloped Quarry Park neighbourhood — the site of the company’s former gravel pit.

Ten years ago, Lafarge rehabilitated its gravel pit on the Bow River in Calgary and sold the land to Remington Development Corporation in 2005.

Wild Rose Brewery to relocate within a year

CALGARY — Wild Rose Brewery has been given 12 months’ notice from Canada Lands Company that the lease for the current site at Building AF23 at Currie Barracks will not be renewed and the establishment will have to relocate.

Bill McKenzie, chief executive of Wild Rose, said the brewery and Tap Room have to relocate by February 2014.

The brewery has been at its current location since 2006.

Intuit Canada relocating to Epcor Tower in downtown Edmonton

With its gymnasium, nap rooms and campuslike setting, Intuit Canada’s south Edmonton office has long been regarded a great place to work.

But employees were still pleased to hear that the financial and tax software company will be moving downtown to the Epcor Tower in the fall of 2013. More than 200 Intuit employees are moving from their location at 7008 Roper Road to the 21st and 22nd floors in Edmonton’s newest office tower.
